A long-form illustrated story exploring a coastal town slowly being reclaimed by the sea.
Format: Graphic novel
Published by: Lantern House
Year: 2024
The Hollow Tide follows a series of overlapping stories set in a town where the sea has begun to behave unpredictably.
The project began as a series of sketchbook studies and gradually developed into a structured narrative. Much of the visual language comes from repeated observation of real coastal environments.
Themes include memory, erosion, and the tension between permanence and disappearance.

Process
Early versions of the project were far more fragmented. Bringing the work into a single narrative required reducing the number of locations and focusing on a smaller cast of characters.
The book is available through Lantern House and selected independent retailers.
